Meta have just completed a ground breaking virtual production – a 360 film shoot that was remotely operated and produced from another country. Thanks to both Covid and Brexit shenanigans, our team could not all travel to Barcelona for a shoot with a 100 piece orchestra. However, as our Meta Cameras live stream over 360 we were able to view the production and manage it virtually from the UK.
The Barcelona team worked on the local production, setting the camera in pre-defined positions and then streamed the positions live to the UK post-production specialists and VR supervisor. They were then able to feedback on exact positions of orchestra members and give creative feedback to the Director, Igor Cortadellas. Not only were our team watching the project live in London but the Director was able to see the view from the camera live too.
